Principals will be hiring for this position as soon as a suitablecandidateis found.

We are seeking an administrative assistant (Secretary I) to who will be the PowerSchool Operator and an active team member in our school.

We are seeking a flexible team member who possesses strong organizational and people skills. The ideal candidate will take initiative assist where needed and be a committed member of the office team.

Preference will be given to candidates with a strong commitment to Catholic education knowledge of PowerSchool and Google programs and experience in an office setting.


The position is responsible for the following areas:

  • Greeting and welcoming guest teachers parents and visitors
  • Setting up PowerSchool for the start of the school year
  • Operating PowerSchool for timetable schedule Registration PASI Attendance and Student Records
  • Receiving student registrations and maintaining accurate student demographic information in PowerSchool and PASI
  • Receiving and submitting attendance from the phone lines
  • Preparing school class size survey as outlined by Alberta Education
  • Submitting marks corrections evaluations and additions to Alberta Education
  • Assisting with student recognition awards
  • Manage HourZero tasks including accident reports alongside the Vice Principal.
  • Create and maintain staff lists
  • Coordinate ESL intake appointments for new families
  • Support Finance Administrative Assistant with duties as required
  • Support teachers with office tasks as assigned by the administration
  • Submit attendance suspension and enrollment letters to Central Office as required
  • Working closely with the Principal and Vice Principal team to provide support
  • Other duties as assigned
