NIE invites suitable applications for the position of Administrative Managerin the Mathematics & Mathematics Education Department.
Responsibilities
Provide secretarial support to Head/MME and members of the MME Senior Management Committee (SMC).
Provide supervision to MME MSO and oversee matters related to their work areas.
Provide administrative support to Head/MME and department staff planning and coordinating faculty recruitment contract renewals promotion & tenure processes and year-end review exercise.
Provide support to faculty development matters such as Faculty External Consultation and Professional Activities (FECPA).
Provide support to Head/MME in data analysis and collection of department-related surveys / studies.
Provide support in Declaration of Interest (DOI) matters.
Oversee financial matters such as annual budget and workplan submission half-yearly financial reporting monthly vetting of Vote Control Register endorsement of Purchase Requests approval of claims the department.
Oversee examination-related matters such as submission of question papers marks and appeal for marks review in the department.
Collate information required by other admin departments.
Serve as the departments PDPA Champion.
Support key events such as the Teachers Investiture Ceremony (TIC) and/or NTU Convocation.
Identify and implement enhancements to streamline the work processes in the department.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
A University degree.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Good communication skills both written and oral.
Meticulous and high attention to details.
Resourceful self-driven proactive strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Good organisational and planning skills.
A good team player who works well with various stakeholders.
Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
Adaptable to change.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel.
Familiarity with digital tools and an ability to leverage technology for process optimisation.
