Position Profile:

The IT Specialist will be part of AlphaPoints TechOps group. The IT Specialist will maintain and improve the technical systems of the company to ensure that all employees have the technology they need to complete their work and that the organizations important files and information remain safe and intact.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
  • Implement security measures.
  • Monitor company compliance of requirements.
  • Provide technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
  • Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
  • Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
  • Manage & setup software & tools access / permissions (Crowdstrike / JIRA / Confluence / Slack / GitHub / NinjaOne etc.)
  • YubiKey enforcement and management.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A Bachelors Degree preferably in Information Technology Computer Science or any equivalent degree.
  • 2 years of Information Technology experience providing computer IT Support for computer and software systems.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence preferred.
  • Communicates effectively excellent oral written and interpersonal skills.
  • A multi-tasker with a keen eye for detail highly organized and can thrive in fast-paced high-stress scenarios.
