The ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center is one of five programs that comprise the clinical treatment services of the Child Mind Institute (CMI). The Center provides innovative treatment options for children and adolescents with a variety of disorders and actively evaluates cutting edge delivery models. The Center is dedicated to giving children and families the tools and support they need to manage attentional and behavioral difficulties in home school and community settings. Clinicians in this center work intensively with children parents and teachers often utilizing a range of evidence-based intervention approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) Parent Management Training (PMT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). In addition to learning evidence-based behavioral caregiver training fellows also provide school consultation in the NY metro area and have opportunities to participate in community outreach. Programs housed within the Center include our 4-week Summer Program a 1-day intensive behavioral skills training program called BEST and pilot work on intensive behavioral parent training interventions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in these programs and to contribute to a dynamic collaborative team.
The ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center of CMI offers an extraordinary opportunity for a qualified clinician to receive structured postdoctoral training in a unique innovative academic setting. Training focuses on the accurate diagnosis and use of evidence-based treatment for children adolescents young adults and their families. Clinical training and experiences include conducting semi-structured clinical assessments individual and group clinical work didactics participating in comprehensive individual and group supervision providing education in the community supervision of externs (with oversight and training in providing supervision) and exposure to research. Fellows will receive specialized training on a range of behavioral parent training approaches cognitive-behavioral interventions and school-based behavioral intervention and consultation methods. Fellows are further encouraged and guided to develop areas of interest and specialization.
As a component of the training experience the post-doctoral fellow will participate in a variety of learning experiences at the Child Mind Institute. Specifically fellows will attend multidisciplinary case conferences and clinical meetings with center staff and attend lectures through our Visiting Professor Series consisting of renowned experts in mental health. Fellows may also be given the opportunity to give presentations at schools and local community organizations. Additionally there may be opportunities to collaborate with website writers on specific topics for the Child Mind Institute website and with other services within the Child Mind Institute.

Reporting to the Director of the ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center this is an exemptfull-time hybrid (minimum 4 days in office) position located in our NYC headquarters office.
Primary Faculty
The ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center staff includes licensed psychologists and other mental health professionals. Center staff regularly collaborate with pediatric neuropsychologists child and adolescent psychiatrists child and adolescent psychologists and other staff from our multidisciplinary clinical team. Additionally our faculty are involved members of the professional community serving on local and national committees for professional organizations presenting at local and national conferences publishing in peer-reviewed journals and contributing to media publications and appearances.

Pay Range
The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidates work experience education/training job-related skills internal peer equity as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this addition this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role) if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
