Job Summary
Extropy is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead enterprise-level design configuration and implementation of AP Automation Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and related financial process automation solutions.
The ideal candidate brings deep functional and technical expertise extensive experience across Basware Esker or similar AP and O2C platforms and the ability to define scalable integrated solutions that align with business and transformation goals. This role plays a key part in Extropys solution governancedriving best practices mentoring team members and ensuring delivery excellence across clients and pods.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-system solution design across Basware Esker ERP and 3rd-party platforms.
- Translate business and functional needs into scalable maintainable architectures aligned with Extropy standards.
- Define and enforce configuration frameworks reusable templates and best practices across pods.
- Provide technical oversight and mentoring for mid- and junior-level architects.
- Engage directly with client executives and technical teams to present solution options and architecture roadmaps.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex integration or workflow design issues.
- Collaborate with the Director of Professional Services on solution governance automation strategy and delivery enablement.
- Contribute to RFP responses pre-sales solutioning and architecture through thought leadership.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Successful delivery of enterprise-scale implementations across multiple clients.
- Solution reuse and standardization rate (templates design patterns configuration libraries).
- Quality gate success with minimal design-related issues post-go-live.
- Client satisfaction scores from executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and capability building across the delivery organization.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 8 years in financial process automation ERP integration or solution architecture.
- Proven success delivering Basware Esker or similar automation platforms at enterprise scale.
- Deep technical understanding of APIs data models and ERP integration strategies.
- Expertise in financial operations processes (AP P2P O2C).
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills including executive communication.
- Ability to balance design innovation with delivery pragmatism.
Experience & Education Requirements:
Experience:
8 years of experience delivering enterprise-scale AP Automation P2P or O2C solutions.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing Basware Esker or similar financial automation platforms across multiple clients or industries.
Demonstrated success integrating financial process automation with major ERP systems (SAP Oracle NetSuite Workday or Dynamics).
Experience leading solution design workshops developing complex configuration strategies and managing UAT and go-live phases.
Deep understanding of workflow orchestration data mapping integration frameworks and automation governance.
Prior experience mentoring Solution Consultants or Architects and contributing to methodology and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Strong stakeholder management and client communication skills including presenting solution architecture to executive and technical audiences.
Familiarity with tools like Asana SharePoint PowerPoint LucidApp and Visio
Education:
Bachelors degree in information systems Computer Science Finance or related discipline; advanced degree or professional certification (Basware Esker PMP or equivalent) preferred.
