Overview
This person will be responsible for business development in both the Office and Industrial sectors in the SA market. The purpose is to grow the local occupier market share from a T-Rep and Capital Works (Tetris) perspective.
JLL South Africa
We are seeking a dynamic Business Developer to join our Tenant Representation team in South Africa. This role will be responsible for identifying developing and securing new tenant representation opportunities across our key markets of Johannesburg Cape Town and Durban. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth for the tenant representation business line.
Proactively identify and target potential tenant representation clients across commercial and industrial sectors
Develop and execute strategic business development plans for each major market
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through networking cold calling and market research
Attend industry events conferences and networking functions to generate new business opportunities
Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision makers including CFOs Real Estate Directors Facilities Managers and C-suite executives
Maintain regular contact with existing clients to identify expansion opportunities and ensure client satisfaction
Collaborate with other JLL service lines to identify cross-selling opportunities
Monitor market trends competitor activities and emerging opportunities across all three markets
Provide market insights to support strategic planning and positioning
Identify new market segments and growth opportunities for tenant representation services
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract execution
Prepare compelling proposals presentations and pitch materials
Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure seamless transition from sales to service delivery
Bachelors degree in Business Real Estate Marketing or related field
Minimum 5 to 10 years of business development or sales experience preferably in commercial real estate
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Experience in the South African commercial real estate market preferred
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (additional local languages advantageous)
Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities
Self-motivated with ability to work independently across multiple markets
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel between cities
Results-oriented with a consultative sales approach
High level of professionalism and business acumen
Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse South African business environment
Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities
