Project Manager (State exp strongly need)

Sr Project Manager - PMP Required
Location: Mechanicsville VA (Local consultants only)

The selected candidate will:

- Serve as a hands-on technical project manager with development staff and business groups.
- Coordinate and communicate with ITD management and staff to coordinate work tasks and resourcing.
- Communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business staff.
- Collaborate with vendors consultants and contractors in the execution of projects including contract management and working with the procurement office(s).
- Collaborate with technology leads and solution architects to incorporate agency best practices into project plans.
- Adhere to VDOT and VITA project management practices and governance requirements; coordinate with VDOT and VITA Project Management Offices.
- Maintain project budget plans tasks schedules risks and status and disseminate information to team members and customers as defined in the communications plan.
- Monitor progress by third-party vendors and define and measure their progress with metrics.
- Ensure documentation of requirements and use cases facilitate design workshops for assigned projects.
- Ensure definition of test objectives designed test plans and test cases for assigned projects.
- Provide the management of project milestones and deliverables for on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Define measure and clearly communicate progress with metrics.
- Support system and application training efforts.

Required:
- The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience managing large projects and a bachelors degree.
- Experience in IT Infrastructure delivery (networking physical plant vendor management site provisioning).
- Experience managing large multi-stream projects.
- PMP or Qualified under Commonwealth of Virginia Qualification Standards for IT Project Managers for Category 4 Projects. See: Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management.
- Agile Scrum Master certification
- Microsoft Office products (Word Excel Access Outlook Visio PowerPoint Project Server)

Required/Desired Skills

Required Skills:

A proven track record of successfullymanaging large-scale complex IT projectswith a specific focus on cloud migrations (preferably Azure). Experience managing migration project budgets and schedules. Azure services: Familiarity with a wide range ofAzure services including Azure Migrate AzureSite Recovery and Azure Database MigrationService PaaS SaaS)and hybrid cloud environments. DevOps: Knowledge of DevOps principles andCI/CD pipelines. PMP and Agile/Scrum Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced demanding environment and managemultiple concurrent projects.
