Description

If you are a recent graduate or soon-to-be graduating DLL Canada invites you to share in our success by joining our Human Resources department as an HR Administrator Early Talent.

In this 6 month placement you can expect all the training and support you need to continue to develop your skills as an HR Professional.

Day to day

HR Administration

  • Prepare and maintain electronic employee files
  • Assist with transactions in HR Information System
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports as needed
  • Process benefits documentation including new hire enrollments and member changes
  • Support with administration of Reward and Recognition system (Kudos)
  • Provide support with new hire onboarding and new hire orientation

HR Projects

  • Provide support with Health and Safety Committee to ensure we are compliant with all regulations
  • Develop and distribute HR related communications to all members as needed
  • Support legislative documentation updates
  • Manage sustainability reimbursement program
  • Refresh plan and execute virtual and in-person HR initiatives and events
  • Provide support with policy updates as needed

Recruitment/Learning & Development

  • Plan and facilitate the Co-op Learning and Development Program
  • Assist the Global Talent Acquisition team with candidate interview scheduling as a liaison with candidates and new hires to ensure a positive experience

  • Assist with background checks as required

  • Organize and maintain candidate & recruitment files as required

Essentials

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a service role with strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish rapport quickly and gain the respect and trust of others
  • Self-motivated: able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a changing fast-paced environment

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to learn

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information

  • Proficient computer skills MS Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly flexible and adaptable able to react quickly and effectively to urgent requests and changing priorities
  • Must be enrolled or graduated in Human Resources a related program and/or exposure to an HR environment
  • Ability to work from home remotely/independently in a virtual team environment and in-person/in-office (approx. 2-3x per week)

Applicable Pay Range:

$20-23 per hour/ $39000 - $44850 annually
