About the Role:
Were looking for a QA Engineer to join our growing IT team and help establish a strong quality assurance function. This is an exciting opportunity to set testing standards and frameworks for critical systems that support our Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and 340B business operations.
The ideal candidate will bring 35 years of QA/testing experience a strong understanding of integration and API testing and the ability to collaborate across development operations and business teams to ensure reliability accuracy and compliance of our technology solutions.
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Set-Up: Work-from-Home (Remote)
Shift Schedule: 8AM - 5PM US Central Time (CST) business hours
Job Responsibilities:
- Design develop and execute manual and automated test cases for healthcare and PBM-related applications including APIs web portals and data integrations.
- Perform black-box testing: UI functional regression and exploratory testing.
- Validate eligibility claims accumulator and healthcare data flows for accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with developers analysts and project managers to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Use Selenium for UI automation Postman for API testing and JMeter for performance/load testing.
- Track and document defects verify fixes and perform regression testing.
- Manage test scripts and documentation in Git/GitLab/GitHub and collaborate through CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI).
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity across multiple systems.
- Use Linux commands to check logs monitor services and validate deployment environments.
- Create and maintain bash or Python scripts to support automation and QA utilities.
- Contribute to defining and improving QA processes tools and best practices for long-term scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- 35 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Strong knowledge of black-box testing principles.
- Hands-on experience with UI functional regression and exploratory testing.
- Proficiency with Selenium Postman JMeter.
- Experience with Git/GitLab/GitHub for version control.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI).
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills for validating healthcare and claims data.
- Comfortable with Linux command line for log and environment checks.
- Basic scripting skills in bash or Python.
- Strong analytical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience testing healthcare or PBM systems (eligibility claims accumulators benefits 340B).
- Familiarity with HIPAA and data privacy considerations.
- Experience building QA processes/frameworks in a growing IT organization.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments and tools (Jira Azure DevOps).
- Experience with test automation frameworks (JUnit Pytest TestNG).
- Understanding of API integrations and data validation workflows.
