Job Summary:
The Homeroom Teacher is responsible for providing a warm engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. The teacher delivers lessons according to the schools curriculum and weekly/monthly planner ensuring that each childs social emotional physical and cognitive growth is supported through purposeful play and structured learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Implementation
Deliver lessons and activities according to the schools approved curriculum and the academic planner.
Prepare and conduct engaging age-appropriate lessons that promote language numeracy creativity and social-emotional development.
Use play-based and inquiry-driven teaching approaches to encourage exploration and active learning.
Observe assess and document each childs progress and development on a regular basis.
Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet the needs of individual learners.
Classroom Environment
Maintain a safe clean organized and stimulating classroom that fosters independence and creativity.
Ensure that all learning materials are well-prepared and in alignment with the weekly planner.
Establish positive routines and classroom rules that promote respect cooperation and responsibility.
Child Care & Safety
Supervise children closely at all times ensuring safety and well-being.
Support children in daily routines including meals hygiene and toilet training when necessary.
Manage classroom behavior in a positive and supportive manner.
Parent & Team Collaboration
Maintain ongoing clear communication with parents about their childs progress behavior and classroom experiences through our app only.
Collaborate with co-teachers assistants and the academic coordinator to ensure consistent implementation of lesson plans and policies.
Participate actively in staff meetings trainings and events.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or equivalent qualification).
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Minimum of 12 years of teaching experience in a pre-school or early years setting.
Strong communication classroom management and organizational skills.
Warm caring and enthusiastic personality with a genuine love for working with young children.
