Scrum Master Digital Transformation
Drive agile transformation in the insurance industry through enterprise-scale data and integration initiatives. This hybrid role based in Markham involves Agile delivery stakeholder facilitation and collaboration on Informatica MDM projects. High-impact fast-paced environment with opportunities for strategic contribution.
What is in it for you:
10-month contract.
Salaried: $85-90 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $100-105 per hour.
Hybrid mode: 3 days per week on-site subject to change.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies including sprint planning daily stand-ups sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Remove technical organizational or interpersonal impediments that impact progress.
Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles promoting a self-organizing and high-performing culture.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure transparency around goals timelines and deliverables.
Enforce Agile discipline and adherence to internal governance frameworks.
Support sprint planning by guiding estimation story splitting and alignment with delivery plans.
Track and report on team velocity burndown charts and sprint metrics.
Manage backlog prioritization and grooming in collaboration with Product Owners.
Ensure clarity and completeness of user stories including well-defined acceptance criteria.
Escalate risks and blockers promptly supporting timely resolution.
Coordinate cross-team dependencies through JIRA and SharePoint for full visibility.
Drive continuous improvement through data-driven retrospectives and action follow-through.
What you will need to succeed:
Post-secondary education in Computer Science Business Engineering or a related field.
Scrum Master certification (e.g. PSM CSM) is preferred.
46 years of experience applying Agile methodologies ideally within the insurance industry.
Hands-on experience with Guidewire and Informatica MDM platforms is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical and business stakeholders.
Ability to influence without authority and lead teams toward shared goals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Solid understanding of Agile principles and delivery frameworks.
