Your role
Your role will be to support the execution of Business Development (BD) strategies aimed at driving growth for Private Equity ensuring these are aligned with the firms overarching strategy as well as Client and Sector priorities. You will draw on insights and data-led intelligence to identify and pursue opportunities enable cross-practice and cross-border collaboration support the development of strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders and contribute to the delivery of high-impact client-focused BD activity.
The focus of your role will primarily be on supporting the Private Equity practice in Paris while also contributing to regional and global efforts as required under the direction of the BD Lead Private Equity and the Manager Country BD Leads.
Your key areas of responsibility will include:
Supporting BD strategy and connectivity for Private Equity in the UK and across regions and globally as required and directed
Pitching
Enhancing market reputation
Responding flexibly to emerging market opportunities
Supporting and developing existing client relationships
You will play an integral part in ensuring the firms Private Equity BD initiatives are delivered to a high standard coordinated with global priorities and designed to meet the evolving needs of clients and the firms strategic growth objectives.
Your key responsibilities
Draft and execute growth strategies for the Private Equity practice in Paris.
Support strategic Private Equity BD plan creation aligned with firm priorities.
Draft and review business plans with measurable KPIs and timelines.
Monitor plan delivery and adapt tactics based on results and analysis.
Collaborate with Private Equity leaders to embed strategy in team activities.
Align Private Equity targeting with global firm strategy and goals.
Ensure local BD goals reflect wider firm and sector strategies.
Work with client teams to align Private Equity targeting to enterprise goals.
Apply industry and client insights to prioritise targets.
Coordinate with Sector BD teams to align campaigns and coverage.
Develop connections across BD teams and shared services.
Foster collaboration with global BD and marketing colleagues.
Ensure consistent use of shared services to deliver global impact.
Champion shared systems and templates to drive efficiency.
Promote a culture of transparency and shared expertise.
Support client plans and deliver strategic cross-selling.
Assist in creating and delivering client development plans.
Identify and promote cross-practice and cross-jurisdictional growth.
Support client relationship partners with tailored action plans.
Work with Client & Sector BD teams to share market intelligence.
Lead on pitches and insight-driven submissions for Private Equity.
Deliver tailored pitch materials and panel submissions.
Collaborate with lawyers and pitch teams to shape messaging.
Use client insight to tailor proposals to strategic needs.
Capture and analyse feedback to enhance future pitch content.
Leverage data tools to surface client and market trends.
Generate insights from pipeline CRM and analytics tools.
Provide lawyers with timely BD dashboards and reporting.
Track competitor trends and client movements to shape actions.
Support firm-wide BD data initiatives with a Private Equity focus.
Your experience
Experience in business development supporting Private Equity services preferably in professional services.
Knowledge of private equity transactions fund formation and market trends.
Experience supporting BD strategy development and implementation.
Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and functions.
Experience contributing to pitch materials and client proposals.
Analytical skills with ability to interpret market data and identify opportunities.
Understanding of cross-selling strategies in professional services.
Experience using marketing technology and data tools for BD insights.
Strong communication skills with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of global professional services processes and shared service models.
Language requirements
Excellent written and oral skills in French and English.
Education / Qualification
Masters degree (or equivalent). Candidates with a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
