This role is part of theBoxxe Group specifically within CAE a key division of the group. While the position is advertised under Boxxe the successful candidate will be based on a CAE HQ in Hemel Hempstead.
Your Mission
As the CAE Infrastructure Technical Team Lead you are responsible for overseeing the 2nd and 3rd line infrastructure support team within a managed services team oversees the technical infrastructure both within CAE and externally for our customers ensuring it is maintained secure and available to meet business needs. This role involves leading a team managing transition into service and collaborating with other departments to resolve issues and deliver new will work across a broad range of technologies which include virtualisation (Hyper-V and VMWare) servers (both hardware and software) and be involved in supporting and deploying CAEs back up and monitoring toolsets.This is very much a player/manager role that will require you to use both your technical and leadership skills.
What youll be doing
- Ensuring the availability security and capacity of our customers and internal infrastructure
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner
- Managing the support of infrastructure solutions
- Managing the delivery of new services and changes to existing services
- Providing input into Service Transition and ensuring successful go-live of new contracts
- Managing the planning and execution of system and/or acceptance tests
- Developing and maintaining infrastructure standards and procedures
- Possessing in-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies including compute storage networking and cloud platforms
- Working closely with the service desk NOC teams and other departments to resolve incidents and problems
- Collaborating with technical and business teams to proactively identify opportunities for service improvement and changes in the services delivered to our customers
- Driving a culture of customer intimacy and employee satisfaction in line with CAE values
What experience we think youll need
- Microsoft MCSA or MCP Qualification
- ITIL Foundation or familiarity with ITIL or other service desk methodologies such as SDI
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of infrastructure technologies and associated hardware software and support tools
- Strong working experience supporting Microsoft Server OS including AD & Group Policy
- Microsoft Exchange Administration & Support including Office365 Hybrid configurations
- Office365 Administration/Support including Exchange/Teams/SharePoint
- Virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V VMware)
- Previous experience using an ITSM Platform e.g Autotask Service-Now etc
- Ability to plan prioritise and manage resources effectively
- Demonstrated experience in leading and/or managing technical teams
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure or AWS (Desired)
- Citrix - Virtual Desktop/Apps NetScaler (desired)
- Office 365 Identity Management Security & Compliance(desired)
- Experience with SaaS monitoring solutions (LogicMonitor ScienceLogic SolarWinds)(desired)
