General Description

The Floor Care Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by properly maintaining floor surfaces. Prior knowledge of chemical safety and maintenance is beneficial. Employee can perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Functions

Clean floors in offices hallways and stairwells by sweeping and mopping and operating floor care equipment such as automatic scrubbers floor machines carpet machines and wet/dry vacuums
Properly use chemicals to properly maintain floor surfaces
Dispose of trash and debris at job sites properly
Uses knowledge of chemical safety to maintain chemicals and supplies on site
Maintain positive client relations by displaying professionalism
Use timekeeping system keys and security codes.
Report any needed supplies and equipment repairs to the supervisor along with any potential hazards
Complete non-routine/emergency cleaning as specified by work orders

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Availability to work assigned hours and the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
Precision and attention to detail
Previous cleaning and floor care experience preferred.
Floor Technicians must possess valid drivers license to ensure the ability to travel independently to respective job sites and drive company vehicles.

Work Environment

The nature of the work is physical requires uninhibited manual dexterity lifting bending twisting pushing and pulling 25 pounds repeatedly and up to 60 pounds (occasionally).
May be required to work atop ladders and operate mechanical equipment.
Work is performed in a variety of conditions may be exposed to extreme temperatures (0-90 degrees)
