Job Summary
Summary
At Catholic Charities of Acadiana we work collaboratively to uphold the sacred dignity of every human life especially the most vulnerable. Our Food & Nutrition Services team plays a key role in this mission through programs such as St. Joseph Diner and the FoodNet Food Bank. The Food & Nutrition Services Coordinator helps ensure that meals and food assistance are delivered efficiently and compassionately to those in need. This position involves direct service coordination with volunteers and maintaining the quality and consistency of food operations. Working with Catholic Charities of Acadiana means being part of a compassionate mission-driven team dedicated to service and community impact. Every meal served and every delivery made helps bring dignity hope and care to our neighbors in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver meals and non-perishable food bags to various sites across Acadiana using company vehicles.
- Ensure proper meal quantities beverages utensils and temperature control for deliveries.
- Provide excellent support to volunteers - assisting with check-in orientation and overall experience.
- Assist with all volunteer duties including serving meals refilling service lines and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen dining room and restrooms.
- Help assemble FoodNet bags for distribution.
- Maintain a clean organized and professional work environment aligned with organizational hygiene and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to successfully multitask.
- Able to lift at least 30 lbs and load/unload vehicles as needed.
- Punctual dependable and committed to teamwork.
- Flexible and willing to work weekends and holidays - this position operates across all seven days of the week.

- Medium: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 100% of the time.
