Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Operations Lead who will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective warehouse processes within the forklift department. This leadership role requires strong communication skills problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage a team to meet productivity and safety goals.
- Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the forklift department.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations within the warehouse.
- Coordinate and optimize warehouse processes to meet operational goals and improve efficiency.
- Provide training guidance and support to team members to enhance their skills and maintain high levels of performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues ensuring minimal disruption to daily workflow.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g. procurement logistics) to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of orders.
- Implement and enforce warehouse best practices to improve quality reduce waste and enhance safety.
- Prepare reports and metrics related to forklift performance highlighting areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
- Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a team provide clear direction and motivate employees.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of WMS software is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Forklift certification (preferred).
