Draft revise and manage a wide range of legal agreements for the Americas primarily
using approved templates and handling ad hoc one-off contracts.
- Conduct initial contract reviews for legal assignment checking for universal deficiencies such as incorrect entity names and notice errors.
- Coordinate with Legal Compliance and Commercial teams to ensure contracts are executed in line with internal policies:
- Confirm counterparties are KYC-approved in internal systems prior to execution.
- Track and follow up on urgent or aging contracts.
- Gather preliminary information from commercial teams for legal assignment.
- Maintain meticulous records of all executed agreements and amendments:
- File documents and correspondence in Diva Counterparty.
- Update and monitor status records for agreements in progress.
- Search Emails Files and Correspondence to retrieve historical contracts from our systems.
- Support legal negotiations by:
- Preparing concise legal assignments highlighting key risks and required internal reviewers (Compliance Credit Insurance etc.).
- Creating comparison reports in Adobe (PDF) and iManage (Word) to ensure counterpart drafts align with latest legal versions.
- Assist in developing and updating contract templates and standard clauses.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues on contract processes and best practices.
- Stay current on legal and regulatory developments impacting contracts.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 6 years experience as legal assistant paralegal or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with contract law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Adobe and contract management systems.
- Flexibility a must as most contracts are ad hoc.
