About the Team
The SOC Platforms Manager is a key leadership role within Nubanks Information Technology & Security team. Our mission is to ensure Nubanks cyber security by architecting provisioning maintaining and evolving the entire engineering infrastructure used by the Security Operations Center (SOC) to detect analyze and react to cyber threats. The SOC Platforms team drives innovative scalable and resilient engineering solutions for our defense.
About the Role
As the SOC Platforms Manager you will be instrumental in leading the SOC platforms engineering team managing the lifecycle of critical security tools and ensuring the operational excellence and strategic alignment of our threat detection and response capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead mentor and develop a high-performing security engineering team focused on SOC platforms.
- Define the technical strategy roadmap and architecture for the entire SOC platforms ecosystem (including SIEM EDR/XDR SOAR Threat Intelligence platforms and automation).
- Lead the planning and execution of complex engineering projects ensuring on-time in-scope delivery aligned with cyber security objectives.
- Ensure the scalability resilience performance and financial health (FinOps) of all security infrastructure to support Nubanks global growth.
- Collaborate closely with the SOC Threat Intelligence and Incident Response teams to translate operational requirements into engineering solutions that enhance detection and automation.
- Establish monitor and report on key platform metrics (e.g. uptime data ingestion latency project delivery speed) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage the relationship with security vendors and internal infrastructure/Cloud teams.
- Promote the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation across the SOC platforms environment.
- Ensure that platform technical documentation and engineering processes are always up-to-date and clear.
Required Skills and Expertise
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a relevant technical field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in a leadership role managing Security Engineering Cyber Platforms or DevOps teams preferably in a global environment.
- Deep and demonstrable experience in planning managing and executing complex cross-functional engineering projects.
- Expert knowledge of core SOC technologies (e.g. SIEM solutions like Splunk/Sentinel/Elastic EDR/XDR platforms SOAR and Cloud security monitoring).
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and Public Cloud environments (AWS GCP or Azure).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM SANS) are a plus.
- Ability to maintain calm and efficient responses in high-pressure environments.
- English (advanced).
- Spanish is a plus.
