About the opportunity
Learning & Teaching Designers (LTDs) within CCEE play a key role in supporting and enhancing the curriculum pedagogy and design of programs and courses across a range of delivery modes to achieve high-quality learning outcomes for students. They also contribute to the academic professional development of staff to enhance learning and teaching practices across the University.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Teaching Designer to contribute to an initiative aimed at improving inclusive learning and teaching practices working closely with Student Life unit . The role will provide high-level expertise in educational design project management and academic staff development to:
- Design and develop inclusive educational resources that support diverse learner needs.
- Embed principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) into curriculum and resource development.
- Lead and support training initiatives that build staff capability in inclusive and accessible teaching practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote equitable learning experiences across the university.
What we can offer
- A full-time fixed-term (two years) position based at either Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
- Base Salary $113713 - $127923 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation $133044 - $149670.
Qualifications :
About you
- Hold a postgraduate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience education and training.
- Demonstrated experience applying pedagogical strategies and approaches in the design and development of courses and other learning experiences with a focus on inclusive practices and UDL.
- Strong project management capabilities across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Extensive experience planning and implementing professional development activities.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and problem solve.
