Description

The Bottle Login Assistant is the first quality checkpoint for client samples arriving at our laboratory. Youll receive coolers and kits verify chain-of-custody (COC) log samples into the LIMS print labels and route work to analytical departmentsensuring preservation holding times and custody requirements are met for environmental matrices (water wastewater soil air).

Requirements
  • Unpack coolers; check custody seals sample integrity temperature on receipt (document cooler temp) and preservation status.
  • Compare contents to COC reconcile discrepancies and document non-conformances (short holds broken containers wrong preservatives).
  • Create work orders/projects assign IDs apply barcoded labels and ensure correct test codes methods matrices turnaround time (TAT) and client billing info.
  • Capture field data (sample times preservatives locations sampler) and special instructions.
  • Maintain continuous chain-of-custody; prepare and deliver samples/aliquots to Wet Chem Metals Organics Micro Air etc.
  • Stage and refrigerate samples per method requirements; track holding times and prioritize rush/TAT work.
  • Generate login paperwork and job packets; file COCs and temperature records; support internal and external audits.
  • Elevate issues quickly to QA/Client Services; initiate RMA/re-collect requests when needed.
  • Maintain bottle preservative and cooler inventory; assemble outbound sampling kits with labels COCs and instructions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma or GED.


Experience/Qualifications:

  • 6 months in a lab warehouse/receiving healthcare or similar high-accuracy data entry role.
  • Comfort with computers and data entry (LIMS or ERP) barcode scanners label printers; basic MS Office/Google Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail; clear written/verbal communication; customer-service mindset.
  • Experience in environmental testing/TIC sample receiving or client services

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand walk and lift items up to 25 lbs.
  • Exposure to chemical substances and occasional outdoor sample collection.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
