What you will do:
- Meeting production and uptime goals while makingsafety a business priority.
- Operating and leading within a culture of reliability using preventative and predictive centered maintenance to drive continuous improvement and ownership of the plants uptime while utilizing advanced maintenance systems involving root cause and gap analysis
- Develop implement and maintain maintenance team schedules and detailed maintenance planning schedules that drive continuous improvement and support all elements of plant mechanical/electrical functions
- Advance and support the training for maintenance and operational teams to continuously improve their knowledge and skills to maintain an optimal operational focus
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team building and motivational skills along with an ability to collaborate and build good working relationships across multiple departments and leadership levels
- Provide support to the General Manager Production Superintendents and Supervisors to ensure objectives in safety quality production and cost are being met
- Manages and develops relationships with the project equipment supplier(s) and contractors
- Provide hands-on technical expertise on the mill floor to increase and maintain plant operations
Qualifications you will need:
- Minimum 5 years experience in supervising maintenance in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge and experience in effective reliability programs are essential.
- Demonstrated leadership with change management skills as well as a drive for continuous improvement.
- Sound knowledge of Safe Work Procedures and OSHA regulations is a must.
- Must be a strategic thinker and tenacious problem-solver who applies data-based critical thinking to make decisions.
- Good computer skills with the use of Microsoft Office suite as well as effective oral written and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications that will make you stand out:
- A 2- or 4-year degree in a related field would be a plus
