The Distribution Engineer is responsible for designing planning and managing electrical distribution systems. This role involves ensuring the safe reliable and efficient delivery of electrical power to homes businesses and industries. The engineer will work on diverse projects contributing to the infrastructure of the community.

Location:Pell City Alabama United States
Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize electrical distribution systems including overhead and underground lines substations and transformers.
- Perform load flow analysis fault analysis and voltage drop calculations.
- Maintain records of distribution equipment and conduct condition assessments.
- Specify and select appropriate distribution equipment.
- Ensure designs meet safety standards environmental regulations and industry codes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance system reliability and improve power quality.
- Evaluate requests for new electrical connections.
- Manage distribution infrastructure projects from start to finish.
- Respond to power outages and emergencies.
- Utilize data from monitoring systems to optimize distribution efficiency.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical distribution engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in distribution system design software CAD tools and power system simulation software.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution principles grid operation and protection systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols.
- Project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
