Position: Techno-Commercial Head – CDMO R&D

Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Techno-Commercial Head to lead our Formulations CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) operations at FTF Pharma. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of scientific expertise commercial acumen and strategic leadership to drive end-to-end ownership of P&L business growth and global client partnerships.
This role will be pivotal in expanding our CDMO footprint across regulated markets (US/EU) while ensuring excellence in R&D execution cost competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & P&L Leadership
- Own and drive the P&L for the formulations division ensuring profitability growth and operational excellence.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with corporate goals and global regulatory expectations.
- Enhance productivity and cost efficiency across R&D manufacturing and client delivery functions.
2. Business Development & Client Engagement
- Identify pursue and convert new CDMO opportunities in regulated global markets.
- Lead technical presentations client visits and commercial negotiations with global innovator and generic companies.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships ensuring repeat and sustainable business.
3. R&D Leadership
- Provide strategic direction to Formulation and Analytical Development for oral solids injectables and specialty dosage forms.
- Ensure R&D activities align with regulatory submission requirements — NDA ANDA 505(b)(2) and EU dossiers.
- Foster innovation and scientific rigor within the development teams.
4. Project Management
- Oversee end-to-end project execution from development through to commercial scale-up.
- Ensure on-time compliant and high-quality delivery of all CDMO projects.
- Implement effective governance review mechanisms and risk mitigation frameworks.
5. Costing & Pricing Strategy
- Lead cost modeling pricing and margin optimization for development and manufacturing proposals.
- Benchmark costs against industry standards to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with Finance Procurement and Operations teams for pricing and cost efficiency.
Desired Profile
- / Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics or related discipline.
- 15 years of experience in formulations development R&D management and techno-commercial leadership within the CDMO / CRO space.
- Proven P&L ownership business development client relationship management and pricing/costing expertise.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (USFDA EMA) and global pharmaceutical markets.
- Willingness to travel globally for client and business development engagements.
