Key Responsibilities:
As the Finance Manager youll play a key role in overseeing the finance function and guiding a small team of Accountants.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing monthly accounting processes and reconciliations
- Compiling and analysing management reports
- Managing cash flow and investments and approving payments and collections
- Assisting with budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
- Ensuring that all control accounts balance sheets and income statements are reconciled monthly
- Preparing and submitting VAT income tax and statutory returns (FSCA Prudential Authority SARB SARS and NAMFISA)
- Compiling annual financial statements in line with IFRS
- Liaising with Auditors and resolving outstanding reconciliation items
- Identifying and implementing process and internal control improvements
- Supporting regional managers with accurate and timely financial information
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified CA(SA)
- 2 years post-articles experience ideally withinFinancial Services or Short-Term Insurance
- StrongMS Excelskills
- Experience with accounting systems such asGreat Plains SAP or Accpac(advantageous)
- Excellent communication analytical and time management abilities
