Job Summary

This establishedshort-term insurance providerhas built a solid reputation for delivering tailored risk and underwriting solutions to both individual and commercial clients. Key Responsibilities:
As the Finance Manager youll play a key role in overseeing the finance function and guiding a small team of Accountants.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing monthly accounting processes and reconciliations
  • Compiling and analysing management reports
  • Managing cash flow and investments and approving payments and collections
  • Assisting with budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
  • Ensuring that all control accounts balance sheets and income statements are reconciled monthly
  • Preparing and submitting VAT income tax and statutory returns (FSCA Prudential Authority SARB SARS and NAMFISA)
  • Compiling annual financial statements in line with IFRS
  • Liaising with Auditors and resolving outstanding reconciliation items
  • Identifying and implementing process and internal control improvements
  • Supporting regional managers with accurate and timely financial information

Minimum Requirements:
  • Qualified CA(SA)
  • 2 years post-articles experience ideally withinFinancial Services or Short-Term Insurance
  • StrongMS Excelskills
  • Experience with accounting systems such asGreat Plains SAP or Accpac(advantageous)
  • Excellent communication analytical and time management abilities
