IP Australia (IPA) is seeking to deliver an increased level of enterprise IT Security assurance. This role will contribute as part of a wider team of IT Architects and Security specialists to perform IT Security Architecture services in support of Project and Business As Usually (BAU) needs.
Solution Architects are responsible for the quality of solution architecture work across an organisation. They provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of systems and software to solve business problems.
Key duties and responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience as an IT Security Architect delivering production capabilities as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will play an important role with your expertise to drive technology and policy changes and strengthens enterprise and public-facing systems. You will focus on modernisation resilience and embedding security throughout system lifecycles to improve reliability and client experience. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assess and deliver System Risk Management Plan (SRMP) assessments in line with prioritised BAU and Project demand.
- Investigate and deliver recommendations/roadmap to bolster and consolidate IPA authentication services.
- Investigate deliver and/or coordinate Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessments in line with business requirements.
The following outlines the technical skills and person attributes required to effectively perform the duties of the role these are as follows:
- Architectural knowledge and experience: A robust understanding of architectural principles patterns and frameworks accompanied by practical demonstrated experience delivering IT Security assurance services including Security Risk Management Plans (SRMP) plus delivering and/or coordinating Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) services.
- Authentication services: Strong understanding of IT Authentication services in the Government and/or large enterprise context with a demonstrated ability to assess and deliver a consolidated authentication strategy and roadmap.
- 3 years of experience with Cloud and/or IT Security architecture including experience in the design & delivery of complex systems in an enterprise or Government environment.
- Ability to explain or translate complex findings to a range of business and technical stakeholders. Communication negotiation and liaison skills of a high order.
- Ability to develop concise detailed system data user interaction diagrams and associated documentation
