Authorization and Benefits Coordinator
InterimHealthCare is looking for an Authorization and Benefits Coordinator. We are a health care company that has been in business locally for 50 years and is still growing strong! This is a great opportunity to join the Home HealthIntake team of a long-standing stable and reputable company.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Medical insurance verification checking eligibility and benefit information for all patient insurances uploading the documents in the patients electronic charts and requesting authorization for all services Interim provides for in the patients home
- Accurately collect and enter customer information including eligibility and benefit information for all payer sources into the management information system and notify staff and patients of approval or denial
- Clear written and verbal communication of clinical and payer information
- Complete intake screening process to include obtaining documenting and analyzing payer information
- Actas a contact telephone liaison person interfacing with referral sources outside agencies health professionals and payer sources
- Attaining pre-authorizations for medical services and/or procedures
- Report accurate insurance coverage/patient responsibility to field staff & patients.
- Obtainre-authorization as needed for each patient andthe services provided in the patients home

Job Requirements
- Prefer one (1) year of relevant experience in medical services or clinical environment with knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize and work independently in a fast paced environment and focus on attention to detail
- Excellent phone and computer skills includingMicrosoft Word and Excel
- Experience in healthcare is preferred
