Were currently on the search for a Youth Wellbeing Team Leader to join our new Early Psychosis Psychosocial Supports program (EPPS) program in Metro North region (based in Herston and/or Aspley offices). If you want to make a difference in the lives of young pe and their families then this is the role for you!

The Youth Wellbeing Team Leader supports and guides a team delivering psychosocial and wellbeing services to adolescents and young people. The role fosters a positive values-driven culture that promotes respect compassion and personal growth while ensuring high-quality recovery-oriented support. Working collaboratively with partners the Team Leader helps young people strengthen their mental health and wellbeing build confidence and engage in education employment and community life.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Empower young people to strengthen their mental health build confidence and connect with education employment and community life.
  • Lead and inspire a passionate team fostering a culture of respect openness and collaboration.
  • Champion lived experience and promote compassion and personal growth within the team and service.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners including Metro North HHS to deliver coordinated recovery-oriented support.
  • Ensure services are safe high-quality and meet all organisational and contractual standards maintaining accurate records and reporting.
  • Encourage innovation reflection and continuous improvement through shared learning and professional development.
  • Promote and model safe and healthy workplace practices that prioritise wellbeing accountability and care for others.

You will have:

  • Undergraduate level qualification in Social Sciences/Human Services and relevant experience or Certificate IV in Mental Health Mental Health Peer Work or similar and minimum of 3 years relevant experience working with young people.
  • Lived experience of early psychosis or supporting someone who has experienced early psychosis will be well regarded.
  • Ability to manage programs and complex projects in a human services context.
  • A genuine passion for supporting mental health and community well-being.
  • Demonstrated high-level understanding of the community and/or youth mental health sector and an ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the stages of human development in particular those aged 15-17 years of age 18 25 years of age.
  • To undergo criminal history screening in the form of obtaining and maintaining a NDIS Worker Screening.
  • To obtain and maintain a Queensland Blue Card.
