Business Office Specialist
The Business Office Specialist is primarily responsible for overseeing completion of monthly billing reconciliation of agency Accounts Receivables tracking and monitoring of claim denials completion of billing projects reporting of claim issues ordering supplies and maintaining agency inventory as assigned. This position also performs a variety of routine clerical tasks by providing general administrative support. All responsibilities must be carried out with a high level of accuracy detail and confidentiality. The role requires collaboration across multiple departments to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review insurance and MCO remittances process electronic claims and track denials to ensure accurate billing and payments.
Prepare and maintain billing reports spreadsheets and reconciliations.
Verify client eligibility and coordinate with programs on funding sources.
Manage purchasing activities including assigning purchase orders ordering supplies and monitoring inventory.
Conduct monthly OIG checks on vendors and employees; process product returns and vendor credits.
Assist with shipping receiving and general administrative support such as data entry correspondence and filing.
Provide support to the Business Office CEO CFO and other departments as needed.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality in all operations.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 codes and medical billing terminology.
Strong organizational analytical and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data systems.
Reliable dependable and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
High school diploma or equivalent required; valid drivers license and eligibility as an agency driver.
Ability to travel locally and lift up to 25 lbs.
Must meet background check requirements and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Offer contingent upon the succressful completetion of a criminal background check dependernt adult and child abuse background check and drug screen.
