The Director of Education (DOE) is responsible for overseeing the academic programs faculty management and student success initiatives at the trade school. This leadership role ensures that curriculum instruction and compliance standards align with institutional goals accreditation requirements and industry best practices.
A key focus of the DOE is student retention ensuring that students receive the necessary academic support career preparation and resources to successfully complete their programs. The DOE works closely with faculty students and campus leadership to drive student engagement and long-term success.
Academic Leadership & Faculty Management
- Supervise faculty recruitment training and performance to maintain instructional quality.
- Ensure curriculum alignment with industry standards accreditation requirements and employer expectations.
- Oversee classroom operations instructional methodologies and student learning outcomes.
- Provide faculty coaching and development to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Student Retention & Success
- Develop and implement student retention strategies to improve graduation rates and long-term success.
- Oversee student support services including tutoring advising and career readiness programs.
- Establish proactive monitoring systems to track student engagement attendance and academic performance.
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure students receive individualized attention and career guidance.
Compliance & Accreditation
- Ensure adherence to state federal and accreditation requirements for all academic programs.
- Lead reporting and documentation efforts for regulatory compliance.
- Maintain policies that align with institutional and accreditation standards.
Institutional & Industry Collaboration
- Work closely with campus leadership to align academic goals with business objectives.
- Develop relationships with industry partners ensuring programs remain relevant and aligned with workforce demands.
- Participate in Program Advisory Committee meetings to maintain compliance and industry engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required preferably in Education Business or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Verifiable experience in higher education trade school administration or academic leadership.
- Strong understanding of accreditation compliance and curriculum development.
- Experience with faculty supervision classroom management and instructional strategies.
- Proven success in developing student retention initiatives to drive program completion rates.
- Excellent organizational leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Director of Education Academic Dean or similar leadership role.
- Knowledge of trade school programs workforce training and employer partnerships.
- Familiarity with student retention strategies career-focused education and enrollment growth.
