Contract Duration: 2 Years
Pay Rate: $70 $75/hr

Overview: Our client is seeking experienced Senior Kubernetes Engineers to support and scale its Amazon EKS infrastructure. This team will provide operational capacity to manage EKS clusters onboard new workloads and accelerate the managed infrastructure strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and manage Amazon EKS clusters in a federated model.
Support onboarding requests and service backlog.
Develop automation and tooling using Go.
Integrate CI/CD workflows (Jenkins) with Kubernetes deployments.
Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure scalable and secure cluster operations.

Required Skills:

Amazon EKS: Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals control plane behavior pod lifecycle networking node groups and autoscaling.
CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins and Kubernetes deployment pipelines.
Programming: Proficiency in Go for building internal tools and automation.
Coding: Experience building internal tools that interface with Kubernetes APIs or support automation/observability
AWS: Strong familiarity with IAM EC2 S3 networking and other core services.

Preferred Experience:

GitOps tooling (ArgoCD Tekton Flux)
Terraform for infrastructure as code
AWS services: EKS EC2 S3 Route53 Secrets Manager ACM
