About the Role
As our Chef youll be responsible for the day-to-day kitchen operations preparing and cooking a variety of pub-style meals and seasonal specials. Youll ensure dishes are cooked to a high standard maintain a clean and efficient kitchen and help deliver an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a range of quality pub and bistro-style meals.
- Maintain consistency in presentation flavour and portion sizes.
- Ensure food safety hygiene and cleanliness standards are met at all times.
- Manage kitchen stock ordering and storage efficiently.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff during service.
- Work closely with management to create daily and seasonal specials.
- Minimise food waste and contribute to cost control.
- Ensure smooth coordination with front-of-house staff for efficient service.
Requirements
Qualified Chef or proven experience in a commercial kitchen (hotel pub or restaurant).
Strong cooking skills and a passion for classic high-quality meals.
Reliable organised and able to work independently or as part of a small team.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Willingness to work a flexible roster including weekends and evenings.
Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a regional hospitality environment.
