Were looking for a Paralegal whos ready to make an impact across a diverse portfolio of legal matters from corporate and regulatory to complex international projects.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a passionate in-house legal team on high-profile deals and strategic projects across Australia and Southeast Asia. Youll play a key role in supporting our legal operations contract management and compliance framework.
What youll do:
- Provide effective legal and administrative support to the Legal Team
- Support the legal team in preparing reviewing negotiating and managing a wide range of contracts.
- Research and analyse legal issues to support innovative approaches to the provision of legal advice
- Coordinate document approvals and execution maintain legal registers and support corporate governance processes.
- Undertake project tasks and provide reports in relation to legal and contract management issues
- Develop and maintain current knowledge in relation to NEXTDCs business (including policies and procedures) and the legal practice areas in which the paralegal works
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Our team is hiring this casual position to work with us 2 days a week (what days may be flexible to your schedule). We are happy to consider applications from Canberra or Brisbane based candidates.
Qualifications :
- High degree of integrity and trust
- Strong written and verbal communication skills excellent drafting skills highly organised and a high attention to detail
- Strong academic results
- Ability to work independently on tasks as well as within a team build relationships with other business functions and become a trusted advisor (legal finance compliance etc)
- Working knowledge of the fundamental legal provisions of commercial contracts
- Experience within a law firm or office environment desirable but not essential
