Waste Connections is seeking a reliable and experiencedCDLA Driverto operate ourErie Colorado. The E&P Side Dump Operator is responsible for safely hauling non-hazardous oilfield wastesuch as sludge drilling fluids and cuttingsfrom well sites to designated landfills or disposal facilities.
Starting Pay:$26.00-$30.00
Schedule:MondayFriday occasional Saturdays as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Waste CollectionandTransportation:
- Operate trash trucks to collect garbagerecycling and yard waste on assigned routes.
- Ensure the safe and efficient loading of waste materials using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Transport collected waste to designated disposal facilities.
- Vehicle Operation and Maintenance:
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the fleet maintenance team promptly.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating the vehicle and handling waste materials.
- Comply with local state and federal regulations related towaste managementandtransportation.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and provided.
- Customer Service:
- Interact courteously with customers and the public addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
- Ensurewaste collectionservices meet customer expectations and resolve issues promptly.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of daily routes waste collected and any incidents or issues encountered.
- Complete and submit requireddocumentationin a timely manner.
- Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Validcommercial drivers license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Two years ofcommercial drivingexperiencepreferred.
- Strong knowledge of local streets and routes.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and loading heavy items 50 lb with the ability to stand walk bend and climb into the truck multiple times a day.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Steady working history.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.
