As a DevOps Engineer a typical day might include:
Designing implementing securing and supporting cloud native and on-prem infrastructure.
Automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Monitoring system performance troubleshooting issues and performing capacity planning.
Collaborating with developers in IS and R&D to support SELs mission of making electric power safer more reliable and more economical.
Identifying and mitigating risks in deployment and operational environments.
Creating and maintaining clear thorough documentation for systems and processes.
Managing and executing infrastructure-related projects.
This job might be for you if you:
Have a bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Have 2 years of experience in DevOps system administration or a related technical role.
Are proficient with tools like Docker Kubernetes Jenkins GitHub Actions Git and Terraform or similar.
Have experience automating infrastructure and configuration management.
Embrace dynamic fast-paced environments and adapt well to rapid change.
Have a desire for life-long learning to stay current with evolving technologies.
Can participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.
Technical background and knowledge of manufacturing and/or engineering processes.

Pay Range Data
Associate DevOps Engineer: $84240 - $124461 DevOps Engineer $97740 - $144460 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
