DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer a typical day might include:

• Designing implementing securing and supporting cloud native and on-prem infrastructure.

• Automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Monitoring system performance troubleshooting issues and performing capacity planning.

• Collaborating with developers in IS and R&D to support SELs mission of making electric power safer more reliable and more economical.

• Identifying and mitigating risks in deployment and operational environments.

• Creating and maintaining clear thorough documentation for systems and processes.

• Managing and executing infrastructure-related projects.

This job might be for you if you:

• Have a bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.

• Have 2 years of experience in DevOps system administration or a related technical role.

• Are proficient with tools like Docker Kubernetes Jenkins GitHub Actions Git and Terraform or similar.

• Have experience automating infrastructure and configuration management.

• Embrace dynamic fast-paced environments and adapt well to rapid change.

• Have a desire for life-long learning to stay current with evolving technologies.

• Can participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.

• Practice absolute confidentiality and unquestionable ethics.

• Have excellent customer service commitment.

• Possess strong writing documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.

• Technical background and knowledge of manufacturing and/or engineering processes.

Pay Range Data

Associate DevOps Engineer: $84240 - $124461 DevOps Engineer $97740 - $144460 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
