The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Heavy equipment may include wheel loaders excavators; screening crushing and material conveying systems; street sweepers; skid steers; and other similar equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean inspect and secure all equipment and perform minor preventative and other maintenance on his/her equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant local state and federal regulations and all company policies and procedures.
- Perform and document daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Perform minor preventative and other maintenance.
- Clean equipment as scheduled or necessary.
- Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications :
Basic Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 years experience using a wheel loader/front-end loader
- Willingness and ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments including working outdoors
- Willingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection steel toed shoes gloves Tyvek coveralls and respirator
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in using an excavator skid steer loader and other related heavy equipment
