Graduate Electrical Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

This short-term opportunity with Ventias Energy Networks and Renewables team in Christchurch is ideal for a recent electrical engineering graduate seeking practical experience in the infrastructure sector. Youll support the delivery of energy and renewables projects through a mix of office-based and on-site responsibilities including project coordination stakeholder engagement site planning and documentation.

Working alongside experienced engineers and project managers youll gain exposure to real-world engineering challenges and receive structured training supervision and mentorship. This hands-on role will help you build technical and professional skills while contributing meaningfully to project outcomes.

For the right candidate this role may lead to a permanent position within Ventia offering a pathway to a long-term career in the energy and renewables industry.

ABOUT YOU

Youre a recent graduate with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (e.g. BE (Hons)) ready to apply your academic learning in a dynamic real-world environment.

Youre curious proactive and eager to grow your capabilities in project delivery site coordination and stakeholder communication.

Youre adaptable and comfortable working both on-site and in the office with a strong commitment to safety quality and teamwork. While previous industry experience or internships are a bonus your enthusiasm willingness to learn and collaborative mindset are what will set you apart.
