International Channel Development Manager

This strategic role is central to enabling smooth international logistics operations particularly across African markets and plays a critical part in supporting the companys global expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Logistics Management

• Design and implement international logistics strategies aligned with business growth goals.

• Streamline shipping routes and transport modes to enhance delivery efficiency and reduce lead times.

• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement through cost-saving initiatives and performance analysis.

Third-Party Provider Management

• Select and manage third-party logistics providers (3PLs) freight forwarders and customs brokers.

• Lead contract negotiations evaluate performance and ensure alignment with service level expectations.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure strict adherence to international trade regulations customs laws and internal compliance standards.

• Manage all aspects of import/export documentation customs clearance and tariff optimisation.

• Anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks stemming from regulatory or geopolitical shifts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Procurement Sales Finance and Operations teams to forecast demand manage inventory and support fulfilment processes.

• Drive logistics readiness for new market entry and expansion initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Business Logistics or related field.

• 68 years of experience in international logistics business development or supply chain management.

• 810 years of experience working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in French and Portuguese is a strong advantage.

• FMCG industry experience is highly beneficial.

• Advanced computer literacy and analytical skills.

• Valid Code 10 drivers license and ability to travel internationally.
