Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: New York NY 10016
Department: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
Contract Type: 13-Week Assignment (Potential Extension)
Hours: 34.5 hours/week 3 shifts of 11.5 hours (7:00 AM 7:30 PM)
Compensation:
Local Candidates: $2700/week (gross)
Travelers: $3300/week (gross)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-performing Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team in New York City. The ideal candidate will bring strong critical care and procedural nursing expertise ensuring safe and effective care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Scrub and circulate during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
Provide critical care nursing support to patients before during and after cardiac procedures.
Perform IV insertions phlebotomy and administer conscious sedation as required.
Continuously monitor hemodynamic status and patient response throughout procedures.
Collaborate with physicians technologists and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments interventions and results.
Adhere to infection control safety and quality improvement standards at all times.
Participate in on-call rotation as assigned (if applicable).
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care experience (ICU CCU or similar).
Proficiency in:
IV insertion and phlebotomy
Conscious sedation administration
Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Prior Cardiac Cath Lab experience strongly preferred.
Education & Licensure
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) required; BSN preferred.
Active RN License New York State (unrestricted; verified by NYSED).
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) and AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required.
