Job: Meal Service Attendant Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt Job Category: 9 Service Workers
Position Summary The Meal Services Attendant assists in a variety of food service functions relating to patient tray-line taking patient orders meal tray delivery and collection; ware washing (dishes pots and pans); cleans and stocks assembly area and nursing nourishment areas with appropriate foods and supplies; records temperatures and other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions -Demonstrates appropriate hand hygiene practices. -Capable of communicating effectively with patients visitors and other hospital personnel. -Knowledge of department policies and procedures. -Wears an approved uniform. -Demonstrates knowledge of HACCP Standards. -Demonstrates knowledge of handling soiled and clean dishes. -Demonstrates proper procedures for meal tray assembly and delivery. -Documents refrigerator temperatures daily Stocks pantry kitchen according to par levels. -Rotates stock using FIFO. -Respectful use of all hospital equipment. -Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives. -Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled. -Performs other duties as assigned. -Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure. -Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience -One year of food service experience preferred.
Education -High School diploma or equivalent preferred. -Ability to read and write English preferred.
