We offer a generous benefits package and compensation commensurate with your experience and skill set.Technical Description:The successful candidate will lead and perform Financial Management activities in the Government Space Systems Command Space Sensing Finance (SNF) Directorate. They will support SNF organizations Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) higher headquarters and mission partners. This support includes government budget integration PPB&E and FIAR activities as assigned. They will support high-visibility and mission-critical work for SNF perform functional duties independently and may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and be responsible for the efforts of less senior staff.Duties and Responsibilities:The successful candidate will perform all functional duties independently including:- Budget execution including establishing contract baselines for contractual efforts and monitoring the execution of funds as they transition from commitment to obligation to expenditure (must also have the ability to lead/train others).
- Draft funding documents and request LoAs
- Ensure requirements are for the correct Time/Purpose/Amount certified by the Accounting Liaison Office and forwarded to Contracting for obligation
- Team with IPTs ensuring acceptance of invoices and posting of expenditures
- Ensure all actions follow FIAR guidelines ensuring FIAR compliance
- Assist in performing research and assessment of funds receipt analysis reporting and HHQ Reviews
- Provide inputs for acquisition reporting and ULO/NULO analysis/reporting
- Assist with developing CRA requirements; expired and canceled funds status; obligation and expenditure status; and Procurement and O&M funding review and analysis
- Provide detailed documentation corrective action plans and recommendations
- Produce budget inputs for respective sections of Acquisition Reports including SAR DAES MAR APB and PMRs utilizing Government databases/software
- Integrate and correlate program execution data with program baselines and approved budgets to accurately develop maintain and update acquisition reports as required by DoD policy for the Divisions Acquisition Category I II and III programs
- Validate data in acquisition reporting systems ensure agreement with data in the appropriate government financial/accounting system and report differences to the government
- Thoroughly document evaluation results in Program Deviation Reports for coordination with the government to highlight baseline deviations and breaches of reporting thresholds tracked within the respective acquisition report.
Education Requirements:Bachelors degree in Management Business Economics Finance Accounting Mathematics Science Technology Engineering Statistics required.Professional Certifications Required:PMP FM CDFM or other professional certification desired but not required Clearance Requirements:Active Secret clearanceYears Experience Required:10 years of directly applicable experience in DoD Financial ManagementCitizenship Requirements:Must be a US citizenSkills and Abilities:- Proficient financial analyst skills and the ability to lead and instruct others in Financial Management.

- Must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities; strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced high-volume environment; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment; and strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present clearly.
