Do you have great hands-on skills to work on fine detailed high precision components and an ability to take a careful methodical approach when facing new parts being assembled for the first time Are you looking for variety where every task is different and offers an opportunity to learn something new If so this could be the role for you!

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

Finish blend and assemble high-tolerance wind tunnel model components.
Install intricate pressure measurement systems including cross-drilling and soldering micro-diameter tubing.
Create bespoke cables connectors and install various physical and electronic instrumentation (e.g. motors sensors).
Operate 3D printing EDM and perform general machining (lathes mills) for component modification or creation.
Apply knowledge of tolerances and fits use correct fixings/dowels and physically install the model in the wind tunnel.

ABOUT YOU

Practical mechanical engineering experience.
Excellent hand and workshop skills using a variety of tools and equipment.
Particular skills and interest to work on small detailed components.
