Job Title: People Generalist (Human Resources Generalist) Reports To: Manager People and Culture Positions Supervised: N/A FLSA Status: Exempt Job Summary The People Generalist supports the team member experience by carrying out core programs and processes within the People & Culture team. The role plays a hands-on part in creating a positive workplace by leading onboarding supporting employee relations and performance management applying policies with care and compliance recruiting top talent and coordinating initiatives that strengthen engagement and retention. Team Member Support & Engagement - Serves as a primary point of contact for People & Culture needs addressing questions and concerns with fairness consistency and confidentiality and supporting employee relations by gathering information documenting findings coordinating next steps and escalating issues when appropriate
- Contributes to engagement and retention by executing culture-building programs initiatives and feedback efforts that strengthen the team member experience
Onboarding & Recruiting - Guides the new team member experience from pre-onboarding through orientation by coordinating pre-hire requirements and ensuring a positive experience
- Handles the full life-cycle recruitment process including posting jobs screening resumes conducting interviews and managing offers and onboarding for a variety of roles
Policies & Compliance Practices - Drafts updates and communicates changes to the Team Member Handbook and People & Culture policies coordinating reviews and approvals to ensure compliance with legal and company standards
- Maintains required compliance records including I-9 and employment eligibility verification ensuring confidentiality accuracy and retention in line with legal requirements
- Supports compliance activities such as audits reporting and monitoring changes in employment law recommending updates when needed
Programs & Processes - Executes administrative tasks for performance management terminations and talent management ensuring accuracy compliance and consistency
- Maintains accurate documentation including job descriptions organizational charts and training records to ensure consistency and compliance
- Administers leave of absence and accommodation requests with care and compliance maintaining accurate documentation and alignment with applicable laws and policies
Process Improvement & Data - Tracks and analyzes metrics (e.g. turnover engagement scores) and shares insights with the People & Culture leadership and business partners
- Drafts and documents process updates recommending improvements to leadership to enhance efficiency compliance and usability
- Stays current on HR practices trends and employment law to bring fresh insights to the team
Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education training and experience will be considered. - High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in Human Resources leadership or a related role
Preferred Qualifications - HR certification (SHRM-CP PHR or similar)
- 3 years of experience in a multi-function HR role
- 1 year of experience administering FMLA and accommodations under the ADA
- 1 year of experience with full lifecycle recruiting for niche or senior-level roles
- Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry
- Previous experience using Paycor

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and use HR technology platforms (HRIS ATS talent management systems)
