Job Duties:

Contributes to the development implementation administration coordination and evaluation for one or more academic programs to ensure effectiveness in meeting departmental and student development goals and initiatives. Strives to create a welcoming equitable and inclusive work environment. Specifically this position will support academic operations and logistics for programs across the College of Health Professions and Sciences.

Work will be primarily performed on the UW Milwaukee campus with requests for remote work considered after the initial training period.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates program components and evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement. Provides feedback to programs on scheduling related tasks including course times caps and related items. Works collaboratively with Associate Deans Academic Planner Program Directors scheduling staff Registrars office Accounting Financial Aid Classroom Assignment to initiate improvements.

  • May supervise the day-to-day activities of one or more academic programs and resolves issues exercising discretion to meet unit goals. Manages course cap maintenance and updates; course permissions and Canvas support.

  • Identifies program needs contributes to the development of unit workflows schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings events and interviews. Specifically tasked with scheduling of classes for each term including final exam scheduling and clinical placement section scheduling (for NURS); and scheduling room assignments.

  • Utilizes independent judgement regarding development implementation promotion and evaluation for one or more academic programs initiatives or events. Provides course evaluation support as needed particularly when there is a need to add or edit current supplemental questions.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is expected to be $45000-$52500. The final offer will be contingent upon the knowledge skills and abilities demonstrated throughout the selection process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Proficient with Microsoft office products

  • Experience with scheduling work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with course scheduling

  • Experience in academic operations

  • Experience with academic operations platforms such as Course Leaf
