Job Summary

Job Description:

The Live Chat Specialist at Del Toro Insurance is responsible for serving as the initial point of contact for customers through online chat platforms. The primary focus of this role is to provide timely accurate and compliant support to customers by answering inquiries explaining insurance products assisting with policy information and directing complex issues to the appropriate departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via live chat in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide accurate information about insurance products policies coverage and billing
  • Assist customers with account access policy updates claims status and general questions
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or next steps (without misrepresentation)
  • Ensure all communications comply with insurance regulations and company guidelines
  • Document chat interactions accurately in CRM systems
  • Escalate complex or sensitive issues (claims disputes complaints cancellations) to the appropriate team
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction response time and quality standards
  • Stay up to date with insurance products procedures and regulatory changes

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelors degree preferred)
  • 1 year of customer service live chat call center or insurance experience preferred
  • Strong written communication and typing skills
  • Familiarity with CRM systems live chat platforms and basic computer applications
  • Knowledge of insurance products and terminology is a plus (training provided)
