VP, IT Strategic Initiatives

Vice President IT Strategic Initiatives is an exempt position that reports to the SVP Information Technology (CIO). This position is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the execution of high-impact cross-functional technology initiatives that directly support WCFs strategic objectives. The VP IT Strategic Initiatives serves as the primary liaison for technology vendor management and provides oversight of IT compliance and enterprise project management functions. This position ensures that strategic technology initiatives are delivered on time within scope and with measurable business value.

The person in this position will work in our Sandy Utah location.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strategic execution-focused leader with 10 years in IT strategy enterprise architecture or similar. Experience with major insurance vendors such as Duck Creek or Guidewire a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage strategic vendor relationships.
• Bachelors in technology business or related field or equivalent experience (advanced degree preferred).
• Proven experience leading complex technology initiatives and high-performing teams.
• Strong skills in IT governance risk compliance communication negotiation and stakeholder management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Lead strategic technology vendor management including selection negotiation performance and relationship management.
• Develop and maintain vendor governance frameworks to ensure accountability and value delivery.
• Oversee IT compliance and project management teams.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve IT processes and service levels.
• Mentor and develop teams fostering innovation and collaboration.
• Champion continuous improvement and change management.

ACCOUNTABILITY & REQUIREMENTS

• Deliver strategic IT projects and initiatives on time and within budget with proactive stakeholder communication.
• Manage strategic technology vendor relationships and associated risks budgeting and accountabilities for delivery and results.
• Ensure effective risk management compliance and project management functions.
• Support staff development engagement and performance.
