The Role

JPA Health- London is seeking aSenior AccountManagerto join our dynamic and collaborative agency. The successful candidate for this role is an experienced accounthandlerthat takes an overall lead on their accounts and provides senior level input.

This position is a full-time hybrid role reporting to theLondon office(Holbornbased team)approximately 2 3 days per week.

The Responsibilities

ASenior Account Manager has a solid handling in healthcare comms and can confidently handle core aspects of the job based on their 3-4 years of experience in the industry. This includes being a primary point of contact for our clients managing projects (withappropriate support) and being integral to overall campaign delivery.

SAMs will be able toconfidently and consistently deliver across the following areas:

Strategic counsel

    • Working towards being able to provide strategic counsel for clients: providing advice on issues based on your experience to date.

Outputs and quality control

  • Taking briefs and creating content - writing to a high standard (e.g. press materials / briefing documents) overseeing the creation of assets such as social postsemailsand filmed materials as well as management of both team members and suppliers.
  • Takingan initialreview of work completed by junior team members and providing feedback ensuring minimal senior input isrequired(unless strategic)

Management

  • Strong management skills (both upwards and downwards): able to clearly brief junior colleagues and oversee their successful completion of tasks; act as a reliable mentor who can provide advice to junior colleagues and assist them with managing their time and priorities; able to navigate around senior directors commitments to ensure senior reviews are completed in a timely manner.
  • Work towards being able to take on a line management role.

Media and social media skills

  • Awareness of the media and supporting junior team members in tasks such as media monitoring. Able to lead on a sell in from press releasesign off to pitching and coordinatingtimelycoverage updates for clients. Includes being able to draw upon media contacts to secure coverage in relevant publications across consumer and medical/trade.
  • Be able to effectively talk about the use of social media its power and uses to client and in pitches where relevant.
  • Have a full understanding of compliance on social media.
  • Act as a sounding board for more junior members of the team their ideas what will andwontwork on social media.
  • Understand and acknowledge your client corporate style and ensuring this is reflected in social media (i.e. be able to pull through key messages from a narrative).
  • Be able to take a brief andcome up witha sound strategy on the use channels and media types (e.g. why we would use organic vs. paid or the rationale for why we would use TikTok over LinkedIn).

Finance

  • Being aware offinancial management including developing budgets for smaller projects and overseeing cost tracking. Develop commercial awareness and begin toforwardplan the finances of your accounts in relation to busy periods resource etc.

Solutions focused attitude

  • Across all client activitymaintaina solutions-focus mindset to overcome barriers to deliver a successful project issues during internal team meetings presenting a proposedsolutionand seeking support from senior team members asrequired.

Company

  • Supporting company Directors in fostering a positive company culture.
  • Taking a proactive role in personal development and contribution to the company byidentifyingand undertaking relevant training and networking events.
  • If theappropriate opportunityarises contribute to RFPs or new business proposals by support with research and development of tactical slides. Potentially attend the pitch presentation.

About You

Our ideal candidate must have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of healthcare PR/communications experience (ideally of an agency background althoughin houseexperience is also welcomed)
  • Proventrack recordof managing multiple client accounts effectively
  • Strong experience in strategic communication planning and campaign execution
  • Able to drive organic and new business growth and to oversee account profitability
  • Ability to lead strategy and client management.
  • A dynamicpassionateandvalues-driven personality whohas the ability tonurture senior client relationships and is willing to get stuck in!
  • Exceptional writtenpresentationandorganisationalskills.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams
  • A passion for healthcare and desire to help us achieve our vision of enabling better health for all
  • A desire to be a part of an ambitious entrepreneurial agency at local and group level
