We are seeking an experienced and visionary Clinical Lead Integrated Pain Service to guide and grow our national pain service. This role is critical to realising our strategy and ensuring that people experiencing persistent pain receive high-quality evidence-based and culturally responsive care.
DescriptionAbout the role
As Clinical Lead you will:
- Provide strategic and clinical leadership for the Integrated Pain Service.
- Maintain a clinical caseload ensuring best practice in assessment treatment and rehabilitation.
- Promote collaboration across medical allied health psychological rehabilitation and prosthetic disciplines.
- Lead service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support education and professional development across teams.
- Foster strong partnerships with ACC Te Whatu Ora Māori health providers and the wider rehabilitation community.
This national position is both strategic and hands-on combining clinical expertise with the opportunity to shape how integrated pain management is delivered throughout New Zealand.
Skills And ExperiencesAbout you
You will be a forward thinking and compassionate clinician with:
- A specialist qualification and vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (or eligibility for registration).
- Experience in pain management rehabilitation or a related field.
- A track record of working with interdisciplinary teams and driving service improvement.
- Strong skills in clinical governance quality systems and stakeholder engagement.
- A deep commitment to equity cultural safety and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
