The Co-op Refinery Complex is hiring a Lab Supervisor on a permanent basis to work on-site in Regina SK.

What youll do:
- Supervise a team of lab technicians assign daily tasks and ensure testing is completed accurately and on schedule to support refinery operations.
- Coordinate technician coverage training performance development and recruitment in alignment with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and HR policies.
- Ensure lab testing methods and equipment audits meet quality standards and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Lab Manager. Knowledge of ASTM and CGSB an asset.
- Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment coordinate repairs and replacements and manage inventory to minimize downtime.
- Communicate with internal and external lab customers to clarify testing requirements and deliver timely accurate analytical results.
- Promote and enforce safety standards and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations with field time preparing /leading safety meetings and writing SOPs for high-risk procedures.
Working Hours: 12-hour day shifts 4 days on 5 days off.

The Team: You will be one of three Supervisors supervising 1/3 (approximately 10) unionized Lab Technicians and overseeing daily workload to ensure the lab meets its quality and service objectives.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in lab operations and:
- Have 6 years of progressive experience in a lab ideally in a heavy industrial setting.
- Have a Bachelor of Science or Lab Technology Diploma (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Are familiar with writing procedures hydrocarbon analysis GC chromatography wet chemistry hazard assessments.
- Ideally have some experience with LIMS ICP-OES IC and ASTM and CGSB standards and methods.

- Have 6 years of progressive experience in a lab ideally in a heavy industrial setting.
