Position Summary: This full-time position will work out of our office in Milwaukee at least four days of the week. He or she will report directly to the president of the Institute and have primary responsibility for journalism and some related policy priorities. This job includes recruitment of freelancers and contracted researchers; identification assignment and editing of stories and briefs; ability to jump in and do some research and writing when needed; and an interest in learning how to write grants.
Job Responsibilities:
Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a conservative with the experience and organizational skills to advance objective research and stories on deadline. Applicants should have experience assigning and publishing relevant journalism and policy work. Applicants must be attuned to policy and government issues and news in Wisconsin. Were looking for someone with top-notch writing and communication skills excellent editing organizational and management skills and the ability to learn how to write successful grant proposals tied to our policy and journalism initiatives.
Compensation: Salary Range: $90000 - $110000 plus benefits.
