What will you do as an Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing and growing existing LMI accounts while developing new customers to expand and strengthen their assigned territory. They will report directly to the National Sales Manager.

We require a proven seller with demonstrated success selling 3D sensors 3D scanning hardware or high-precision 3D solutions directly into high-volume manufacturing environments.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with designated accounts in the assigned territory as it relates to all levels of communication
  • Handle incoming sales calls and incoming requests for quotes
  • Respond to customer inquiries obtain orders and conduct post-order follow-up
  • Assist with preparing pricing and quotes for clients.
  • Actively work on leads and opportunities from the time they are assigned through to the outcome
  • Provide product/application recommendations to our prospects and clients.
  • Maintain complete customer profiles utilizing LMIs CRM software. Update information inside the system on a regular basis and use it to identify and pursue opportunities; update win/loss analysis on all opportunities
  • Constantly upgrade and maintain product knowledge
  • Maintain customer relations through an excellent attitude strong technical knowledge and efficient work practices.
  • Explore opportunities to add value to the overall growth of the organization.

What do you need to be successful

  • Minimum of 3years inside sales or account management experience with OEM SIor Distributors. Preference given to those candidates with a technical background or work experience
  • Engineering or Bachelor of Commerce Degree or equivalent training and experience
  • Working knowledge of 3D machine vision and related products
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills combined with strong computer skills
  • Exceptional organizational communication problem-solving solving and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented approach to business
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude
